Pricing
Free for every community group
Not a trial, not a starter tier with the useful parts locked. Halls, clubs, churches, progress associations, P&Cs and town hubs use the whole thing without paying anything, ever. Local businesses pay to be found in the town directory, and that is what keeps it that way.
Community groups: $0
Web page, news, events, members, directory, bookings, consultations and emergency alerts. Everything, with no card and no limits. The one optional extra: your own domain, $5 a month.
So who pays? The local businesses that want to be found in your town's directory.
Already have a website?
$5/month
For the businesses that already pay someone for marketing.
- Your listing, kept by you: hours, phone, photos, what you actually do
- The card links straight to your own website, not to us
- Post news and offers to the town noticeboard
- No second website to keep up to date
Need a website too?
$15/month
For the ones running on word of mouth and a mobile number.
- Everything in the $5 plan
- A web page of your own, on your own address
- Contact form, photos, opening hours and map
- Nothing to maintain, no plugins, no renewals
Work across a few towns?
$49/month
For trades and services covering the district.
- Everything above
- Be listed in every town you serve, up to eight
- Listed in each immediately, and any committee can take theirs down
- More areas any time at $5 a month for another five
The price you see is the price you pay: we are not registered for GST, so there is none to add. Pay yearly and get two months free. Your own domain, for a group or a business, is $5 a month on top and cancels any time. No setup fee, no lock-in. Export your data and walk away whenever you like.
Fair questions about money
Why are community groups free?
Because a town's front door should not depend on a subscription, and the groups that most need one (the small hall, the progress association, the men's shed) are the least able to justify the spend to a committee. Businesses get commercial value from being in the directory, so businesses are what funds it.
Is "free forever" really forever?
Yes. Everything a group uses is free, and stays free. The only thing a group can pay for is optional: its own domain name instead of the ourhub.au address, $5 a month. It is a standing policy written into our terms, not a promotion with an end date. If it ever had to change you would get generous notice, and nothing you have built would be held hostage. Your data exports as CSV whenever you like.
Is there GST on top?
No. We are not registered for GST, so the advertised price is the total.
What does paying yearly save?
Two months. Ten months' money for the year: $50 to keep your listing, $150 with a web page, $490 across several towns.
Does money go through OurHub?
No. There are no online payments in OurHub. People pay your group the way they always have, and the treasurer notes it against the member.
Can we start before the committee approves anything?
For a community group there is nothing to approve: it is free. Businesses get 14 days without a card, so you can build the page and show people something real instead of a proposal.
What happens if we stop paying?
A business listing lapses and the page comes down, but your content is still exportable and nothing is deleted out from under you. A committee that had already listed you keeps the right to their own directory either way.
