For local businesses

Be in the town's directory, not just on a map somewhere

People looking for a sparky, a feed or somebody to fix the mower ask the town, not a search engine. Join your local hub and you sit in the community's own directory.

A town directory, kept by the people who live there.

What you get

Found where locals actually look

Your listing on the town hub, with your phone, your hours and your address.

Post to the town noticeboard

New hours, a special, back from holidays: it shows on your page and on the town's.

A tidy web page included

Your own address, drag-and-drop simple, and no plugins to update.

Listed straight away

No waiting on a meeting. Each committee can take a listing down, so the directory stays theirs.

Work across a few towns?

The $49 plan lets you be listed in each town you serve, up to eight.

And it pays for the hall

Every community group on OurHub is free, forever. Businesses are the only ones who pay, and what you pay is what puts the local hall's web page online.

How it works

  1. Sign up and tell us the suburb you trade in

Takes about five minutes, and the first 14 days need no card.

  2. We find your town hub and add you to it

If you work across the district, tell us the other towns you serve and you go into each of those directories too.

  3. Your listing is live, and so is your page

Home, about and a services page, built for you on your own address. If you already have a page, point the listing at it instead.

If you have never had a web page, start here

Plenty of good trades and small shops run on word of mouth and a mobile number. That works until the person who recommends you moves away, or somebody new in town looks you up and finds nothing. A listing and a simple page fix that for less than a tank of diesel a month.

You already have the hard part

A reputation in town. This just writes it down somewhere people can find it, next to the hall and the footy club rather than buried under ads from the city.

Nothing to maintain

No plugins, no hosting, no renewals, no phone calls about your domain expiring. Change your hours from your phone in about a minute.

Several towns, one listing each

If you work across the district, be listed in each town you actually serve: up to eight on the $49 plan, and $5 a month for another five after that.

Fair questions

Do I need my own web page already?

No. One is included and built for you the moment you sign up: home, about and a services page, on your own address. If you already have a page, you can point your listing at it instead.

I am already on Google Maps and Facebook. Why pay for this too?

Keep them; this sits alongside them, not instead of them. On a map you are one pin among every business in the region, and on Facebook you get seen when the feed decides you do. On the town hub you are in the town's own directory, next to the hall and the footy club, and that is where someone new in town goes to find out who the locals actually use.

Does a committee have to approve me?

No. Your listing goes up straight away. The committee can take a listing down if it does not belong in their town, which is what keeps the directory worth reading, but nobody is waiting on a monthly meeting to let you in.

Is there GST on top?

No. We are not registered for GST, so the advertised price is the whole price: $5, $15 or $49 a month, or ten months' money if you pay for the year.

What if my town has no hub yet?

Across the MidCoast, 32 towns already have one. If yours does not, you can start it. A town hub is free, and being the business that got the town online is not the worst advertising going.

Can I leave?

Any time, from the billing screen. No lock-in and no exit fee, and you can export your content on the way out.
